Computer Rooms

OMTI has 3 rooms full of computers for you to use!

Room 1 - Is the drop-in room. 

This has 12 pc's with new Core i7 processors and 6GB RAM, 2 printers, scanners, office XP, office 2003, office 2007, Photoshop Elements and much more.  Use of the room is free to do whatever you want. All you need to do is fill in the membership form and you are off.

There are no appointments needed.  Just call in whenever we are open.  It is open to all people of all ages, including kids from the age of 8 upwards.  Kids are only allowed in from 3pm to 5pm Monday to Friday during term-time with late night on Tuesdays until 8pm.

Room 2 - is our small training room

This room contain 6 pc's, a printer, scanners, an interactive whiteboard, office xp, office 2003, 0ffice 2007, video and photo editing suites to name but a few. We use this room for small courses, 1 to 1 tuition, Exams and adult drop-in when the kids are in.

Room 3 - Large training room

This is the new training room and contains 10 quad-core Core i7 pc's, a 78" interactive whiteboard, printers, scanners, office 2003 and 2007, Photoshop CS4 , and much, much more. We use this room for larger courses.

    OMTI's drop-in room and computer room 3 (the new training room are both disabled friendly. Offering wide door access, wide isles, and plenty of space to work in. The drop-in room has disabled toilet facilities.

    Rooms for Hire

    OMTI is now the lease holder for 107 and 107a Farm road.  This is a mirror of our existing premises and therefore doubles our space.

    Some of this space is rented to Barnsley Academy, the local school, for them to provide vocational type learning to their pupils.

    The remainder of the building is available for rent by any community group.  Do you need a meeting space or a space to do some learning?  There is a room available for rent with toilet and kitchen facilities and diasbled toilet.  Internet access is also available at a small cost.

    Rooms can be rented by the hour from just £5 per hour.  There are reduced rates for renting for the day, and the week.
