What is equalskills?
Aimed to complete beginners, the equalskills is a fun, informal and uncomplicated introduction to computers and the Internet, showing the use and role of technology in the everyday lives of all people, regardless of status, education, age, ability or understanding.
How does the programme work?
The programme consists of a number of different components;
Paper based Workbook– Your equalskills facilitator will help you work through this with the help of one to one, or classroom based training depending on the centre you choose. Carefully designed to help the candidate get the most out of the equalskills programme, the workbook consists of exercises and learning information. It is meant as a study aid and assessment document, and gives the candidate and facilitator the chance to check their understanding of any of the topics. The candidate on completion of the programme can keep the learning section of the workbook as a reminder of the skills they have learnt.
At OMTI we provide the Equalskills as a tutor-led class which lasts 6 weeks. To complete the course you must complete the workbook.
